AB sues an editor
It was all set that Mr. Amitabh Bachchan will give an interview to the famous Bombay tabloid Mid-Day. He also cited in his blog that this interview would be based on his 67th birthday, his 40 years in Bollywood, as well as the launch of reality TV show, Bigg Boss 3, where B big plays the ‘Pop philosopher’. But recently, the star of the millennium accused the concerned news agency for dubious journalism.
According to the actor, he agreed to give an email interview first, but after the Executive Editor of Mid-Day, Abhijit Majumder had requested him a personal interview, he nodded for a face-to-face interview. But now, AB says, “it did not do justice to the responses I had given”
But he was more angered about the fact that a video clip was appeared on the tabloid’s website, while he was absolutely aware of the video recording. He also wrote in his blog, ““I had never expected either the paper or any one else to have posted something which I would be unaware of. [And] now realize why Mr. Majumder wanted a personal meeting. He had placed a small “sting” camera on the table in front of me, without informing me that the interview was being video taped as well. He never told me that they had a video net facility in operation and that the recorded interview would find a place there.”
AB believes that the editor is dishonest and with this interview, he only, “malafide intent of recording the interview to be used as a live input on a video electronic facility medium that your paper runs.” Whereas AB accusing the tabloid, how can the tabloid lack behind? The editor wrote on his Twitter profile, “Either you are lying or I am. I would like to believe it is neither; it’s just your memory playing tricks at twilight. He is entitled to his rants, but he can't casually defame people on his blog, rubbish somebody's hard-earned credibility."
Guess who can be lying?
